Earl Scott was born in Brooklyn, New York, and is one of twelve children of the late David and Sallie Scott. He is the author of three books: The Fifteenth Round, Movie Messages, and No Need to Fear, God is Near. He has been married to Amanda Scott for sixteen years, and they have a six-year-old daughter named Jessica. He served in the Navy and the Air Force for more than thirty years and is now retired from the military. He currently works as a chaplain at the Philadelphia Protestant Home and volunteers with the Naval Sea Cadets Program. He studied at Liberty University, Denmark Technical College, Tabernacle Baptist College, and Shasta Bible College. His degrees include a Master of Divinity and a Doctorate in Christian Counseling.
